PART 2:  MOVIES   

I don't track all the movies I watch throughout the year, but I do track the films I see in the theater and I have tried to recall all  I watched on streaming services like Netflix and Hulu that I had never seen before.   Without including repeated viewings and only on movies I had never seen before, my estimated numbers are as follows:  I saw over 65 movies in the theater and over 20 on streaming services. I did not see every movie (obviously), especially those I didn't expect to enjoy on any level and December films I haven't gotten around to yet. For my "Best of 2018" list, I have put the results into my own specific categories.  I will share my top 1, 2, and/or 3 for each category.

WORST VIDEO GAME BASED RAMPAGE BEST NOVEL ADAPTATION A SIMPLE FAVOR READY PLAYER ONE WORST NOVEL ADAPTATION MAZE RUNNER: THE DEATH CURE THE HOUSE WITH A CLOCK IN ITS WALLS BEST VANITY PROJECT A STAR IS BORN HEARTS BEAT LOUD WORST VANITY PROJECT OCEAN'S 8 MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE FALLOUT COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY THE HAPPYTIME MURDERS BEST TALKING ANIMALS MOVIE WATERSHIP DOWN *Just because Netflix chose to break it into 4 shorter chunks doesn't make this any less a movie, as far as I'm concerned.  WORST TALKING ANIMALS MOVIE CHRISTOPHER ROBIN *A film that only gets worse the more you remember it.  So it's probably best to forget it. BEST SCI-FI FLICK COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT UPGRADE ANNIHILATION *Yes.  I know that COLOSSUS: THE FORBIN PROJECT is from 1970.  But I got to see it on the big screen for the first time in 2018 and it was one of the best sci-fi movies I saw.
